Great Tradition
Organized by the Sheldon Art Association (SAA) in conjunction with the Downtown Lincoln Association and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Jazz in June is a beloved downtown Lincoln summertime tradition.
Jazz in June’s roots go back 17 years, when SAA created the event to showcase the Philip Johnson’s beautiful Sheldon Museum of Art and its surrounding sculpture garden. Although the concerts are free, we encourage concertgoers to support Jazz in June and Sheldon by
joining the SAA, the museum’s dedicated support group. Your membership supports events, programs and exhibitions. Learn more about the museum, volunteer for various events and programs, and help raise money for this community gem.
As always, soft drinks, iced tea, and cookies will be for sale at each concert. Sheldon Art Association volunteers also will be selling
Jazz in June T-shirts and CDs by each week's band.
Come early for the best locations on the lawn west of Sheldon and bring blankets or lawn chairs for your comfort.
